Dazespast Wishes You a Prosperous 2015

My intent was to publish this post last night for the last pattern update for 2014–Enjoy! But a snowstorm here in Northern NY changed last night’s update.

I would like to thank my customers and followers for a great 2014, there have been peaks and valley’s, but never the less I am thankful for each and everyone.

My health has been the biggest valley–hearing that you have cancer is not an easy thing to hear–but I am thankful for the opportunity to climb out from that valley and continue to climb toward that peak. With the love and support of my family, the strength of my faith and friends I am doing just that.

Let’s continue the tradition of providing you with great content and lots of wonderful free vintage patterns such as this gem titled “Quilts” from 1945. Some of these vintage templates are rare and timeless, my gift to you.

Happy Holiday’s…

Many fundamental designs were known and reproduced by the early settlers. From these basic designs were created many variations, some because the original design was not fully remembered by others because of the desire for a slight change.

designs are composed of many small parts and the change of just one of these, in shape or size, automatically varied the design itself, such designs were often suggested by poetry, flowers, animals, or by experiences and hardships endured for that time in history.

and Quilting

Patchwork and Quilting are two separate art which were combined by the early settlers of this country to make beautiful quilts. Patchwork is very simple, requiring only accuracy in making the units. The sewing of Patchwork consists only of a straight seam.
