In all honesty, dear readers, I must give you a fair warning: it's very likely this blog will take a turn towards cosplay and creative sewing for the time being, rather than regular garment sewing. Today was one of those days that begin in neutral and head downhill. FAST.And then the doorbell rang.This is Marfy's 2014/15 Autumn-Winter catalogue with - wait for it - 20 free patterns.TWENTY FREE PATTERNS.The patterns come in sizes (IT) 42 through 50. Oh, happy day. I smell a queue....
Well, here is one full panel of my pinch pleat bespoke drapes. Now they need to be hung and "dressed", which translates into this: The panels get hung and shaped into the pleats in which they will hang, tied loosely together, and then they cure, much like we cure bias before sewing it up.
Gosh, time flies! It does not seem a fortnight since I wrote the last inspiration post for the HSF! Things come around quickly! This particular challenge, #20: Alternative Universe ( due Sat 1 Nov, because hey, Halloween is the day before and look, sometimes I can plan!)
